Experience and explore the Westerschelde river:
During an educational cruise of 1,5 hours between the benches on the Westerschelde river, you will receive:
- Safety briefing on board of the Christianne.
- Explanation about nature, what lives in and on the Western Schelde river (Seals / different birds)
- Explanation of the nautical operations on the Westerschelde river, its economic importance and therefore one of the busiest rivers in the world to and from Antwerp, Terneuzen and Gent.
- Explanation about professional fishing now and in the past on this river.
- The history of this river within the Delta of Zeeland.
We have binoculars.
During this tour you will receive one drink and a snack.
During the week we do sail two times a day at 11:00 am and 02:00 pm
Catching fish with a fishing rod on the Westerschelde river
This tour is intended for all those who want to catch fish with a fishing rod or for those who lie to know more about fishing with a fishing rod on the Westerschelde river. You and your partner and/or your children will experience sport fishing from a boat during a 5 -hour trip (45€) . You can book a 5 hour trip, or call us for a trip (phone number: see contact)
During summer we have some trips to catch shark (65€)
You get:
- Safety briefing on board the Christianne.
- Explanation about nature, what lives in and on the Western Schelde river.
- Explanation about sport fishing now and in the past on this river.
- Explanation about the kinds of fish, if any, to be caught.
- Instruction on how to catch a fish with a fishing rod / reel / fishing line and bait.
All requirements to catch fish (rods/reels/lines/bait) are on board. During the tour you will receive one drink and a snack.
Group booking
It is possible to rent the ship for an afternoon, morning or day (maximum 6 hours, max 10 persons for a tour, max 6 persons for fishing) with your friends or family for a boat trip or to catch fish with a rod on the Westerschelde.
Depending on your wishes:

- Catch Fish with a rod.
- During the trip or while fishing, there is coffee, tea or a refreshment and a snack.
